Just inviting everyone to come to the Museum and Buy a Stone Lake Historical Society T-shirt. What better way to celebrate Stone Lake and our Historical Museum. T-shirts are $15 each and maybe purchased at the Museum. We are open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Noon to Four. We close for the Season after Crandberry Fest. Thank you for your support.

Just wanted to invite everyone to the Stone Lake Historical Society Museum, to enjoy seeing our 1932/33 doll house. Donated to us by the Dickensen family. It was a gift to Emily Dickensen from her maternal grandparents for her 5th or 6th Birthday. It traveled all the way to us from California. Emily grew up in Stone Lake, her parents owned Dickensen’s General Store, now the Lumber Companies hardware store.

What a wonderful afternoon at our Annual Pie & Ice Cream Social! On behalf of the Board, thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy homemade pie, ice cream, great music, and wonderful fellowship. Your support helps us preserve and share the rich history of our community.

A special thank you goes to our incredible volunteers whose hard work made this event possible. From planning and setup to serving pie, scooping ice cream, and cleaning up afterward, your dedication is what makes this annual tradition such a success!

We are also deeply grateful to our talented local bakers for donating their delicious homemade pies and to The Good Medicine Band for providing fantastic music that kept everyone smiling and enjoying the afternoon!

Finally, thank you to everyone who attended, visited with neighbors, and supported the Historical Society. We truly appreciate each and every one of you.

Don’t forget to visit us this summer! Admission is free. The museum is open Fridays through Sundays from Noon to 4:00 p.m., Memorial Day through the first Saturday in October.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the museum and seeing you again at future events!

Every community has stories worth saving.

Last fall, one of our newest board-members and volunteer, Hannah Coblentz, walked through the doors of the Stone Lake Area Historical Society with a simple goal: to become more involved in the community and help bridge the gap between generations. What started as volunteering quickly became a passion for preserving the people, places, and memories that make Stone Lake special.

“This museum isn’t just filled with artifacts,” it’s filled with stories.” Hannah spoke. “Stories of families who built this community, tribal sovereignty and acknowledgment of treaties, businesses that shaped it, classrooms full of children, celebrations, hardships, and everyday moments that deserve to be remembered.”

In today’s video, you’ll even see a fun surprise: a kindergarten photo of Hannah tucked away in the archives. It’s a reminder that history isn’t just something from long ago, we’re all part of it!

If you’ve never visited the Stone Lake Area Historical Society Museum, we’d love to welcome you. You may be surprised by what you discover… or who you recognize.
