Overland Trail Museum The Overland Trail Museum focuses on the history of Logan County. No Pets - Service Animals Only

For over 80 years visitors have enjoyed a step back in time when they visit the Overland Trail Museum. Extensive exhibits include pioneer history, Native American artifacts and antique farm equipment. Historic buildings include two barns, a general store, a prairie school, church, barbershop, 1915 stone block house, a caboose and a boxcar depot.

The Overland Trail Museum would like to extend our sincere thanks to Dylan Harford and Kimberly Harford , owners of Parts & Labor Brewing Company, for generously donating several gallons of their delicious house-made root beer for our Colorado Day Celebrations on August 1, 2026!

Their generous donation helped make the celebration even more special and gave our visitors a refreshing taste of local hospitality. We are so grateful for the support of local businesses and community members who help make events like this possible.

We would like to take a moment to thank Mandy Wesley Ritter and - Logan County Arts League for their help at the museum on August 1, 2026!

We especially want to thank Mandy for generously donating her time to work on the museum’s Sesquisemiquincentennial Time Capsule. Mandy beautifully painted the official Sesquisemiquincentennial logo on the capsule, helping make this special piece of history even more meaningful. 🎨

This special contribution makes this project one that will truly leave its mark on Logan County history for decades to come. 🎨💙

This time capsule will be sealed on December 31, 2026, and will be opened again in 50 years — giving future generations a special glimpse into our community today. ⏳💙
