As a newer volunteer helping the Sterling-Rock Falls Historical Society with technology and communications, I only recently gained access to this page and Messenger account. After doing so, I discovered many older messages that had gone unanswered.

I’m not going to pretend to make apologies for past unanswered ignored messages because I was not involved during that time. However, moving forward, I do believe people deserve at least an acknowledgement when they take the time to contact the society.

I may not always have answers, and as a volunteer I may not always be in a position to make decisions or commitments, but I will do my best to make sure messages are seen and acknowledged.

One improvement I am currently working on is setting up proper society email addresses such as [email protected], [email protected], and similar accounts. The goal is to have certain emails forwarded to multiple volunteers so questions and requests have a better chance of being answered properly instead of relying on one individual person.

Since the society is a nonprofit, approval and setup through Microsoft may take several weeks, but it is one of several projects currently being worked on in my spare time as we try to improve communication, organization, and public outreach moving forward.

Thank you for your patience and support.

We’re happy to announce that, as of today, access to the Sterling-Rock Falls Historical Society page has officially been restored.

Many people have noticed that this page has not been updated for quite some time. Unfortunately, access to the page had been lost for a period of time, which prevented updates and communication.

Going forward, you can expect to see posts about upcoming monthly programs, local history, society activities, special events, and other updates related to the Historical Society.

Since this is the first update in quite some time, we wanted to take a moment to reconnect with everyone and encourage you to keep an eye on the page for future announcements and activities.

Thank you for your patience and continued interest in local history and the Sterling-Rock Falls Historical Society.
