OPEN CALL – We invite submissions for our annual Community Photo Show, which will run November 14, 2026–January 9, 2027 at the Headwaters Arts Center.

To participate in showing and selling your work, drop off up to three unframed photos to Headwaters Arts Center. The arts center will be accepting submissions from October 28 to October 31, 2026, 12p. Entry forms can be completed in person when photos are dropped off.

There are no requirements on size or subject matter, and there is no submission fee. Artists may choose whether to sell photographs, and will set their own prices if they do.

Last call for registrations for Annie Hayes's Rug Hooking workshop starting tomorrow, Wednesday, September 30th, 5:30–8:30!

Join us for five weeks (15 hours) of instruction in this traditional American folk art. We'll design our rugs, choose our colors, learn to hook, and drink lots of tea as we finish our functional and decorative works of art.

All materials will be provided, and tools will be available for use during the workshop.

Stop in to make wool felted beads!

Felted beads can be used for jewelry, home decor, garlands, holiday/party decorating, and much more.

Materials and instruction are provided; your creativity and elbow grease are required.

Community Creates is a free workshop series. There is a suggested donation of $2 for this activity.

Headwaters Arts Center will be closed today (Saturday, August 22), but back on Wednesday, August 26th. We look forward to seeing you at Family Collaborative Canvas next Saturday, August 29, 1–3p to create a large mixed media artwork with your friends and family.

Your last chance for a little summer fun with family and friends, this workshop is for folks who want to make memories while they make art.

On Saturday, August 29, 2026, 1–3p at Headwaters Arts Center, participants will work together to create a large mixed media artwork on a 36” x 36” canvas, with no goal in mind other than to have fun.

All materials will be provided, but you're welcome to bring personal elements to collage or sew onto your collaborative masterpiece. No experience necessary.
