Your last chance for a little summer fun with family and friends, this workshop is for folks who want to make memories while they make art.

On Saturday, August 29, 2026, 1–3p at Headwaters Arts Center, participants will work together to create a large mixed media artwork on a 36” x 36” canvas, with no goal in mind other than to have fun.

All materials will be provided, but you're welcome to bring personal elements to collage or sew onto your collaborative masterpiece. No experience necessary.

Deadline: August 7, 2026, 12p.

This is the last week to submit artwork for the Everybody's Art exhibition at Headwaters Arts Center, showing September 5–October 31, 2026.

We are seeking artwork that explores themes rooted in tradition, community, and daily lived experience, and that represents stories from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. We are interested in innovative uses of traditional art forms and materials, and encourage artists to submit work that reveals their own unique interpretation of folk arts. We are also interested in traditional arts and crafts.

Are you a basket maker, metalsmith, quilter? Do you use traditional methods to create contemporary artwork in clay, textiles, leather, paint? Do you use found objects to make sculptures, assemblages, dioramas, wall art?

We want to show your work in Everybody's Art, an open call exhibition exploring folk and traditional arts, interpreted in age-old or innovative ways.

Join Roxbury Arts Group as we transform Stamford's Main Street into a creative hub for the annual Porchfest Music + Arts festival TOMORROW, Saturday, July 18th, 2–6p!

Enjoy an afternoon of live music at seven stages along Main Street, hands-on art activities for all ages, puppet performances by Loco 7, instant portraits, and more. All free, all welcome. Look for the crowns for site-specific information.

This is a rain or shine event. In the event of heavy rain, we will move into an indoor location tbd.

Be a part of something bigger this summer!
The Community Drops Collective Banner Project is a free, community-wide public art project conceived by Bronx-based interdisciplinary artist and educator Dennis RedMoon Darkeem who is in residence at the Roxbury Arst Group this summer.

Pick up a kit and/or donate materials. Then make your "drop" and display it at your home or business so that the public can see. Watch drops pop up all around town!
On August 8th bring your drop to the Gathering Waters Community Celebration at the Catskill Water Discovery Center and add your drop to the banner!

Ron Gutierrez brings rock, blues, and country to the Stamford Fire Dept at 3:30 He's a familiar face at venues across the region and always a crowd pleaser. 🔥

Guitar Sandwich, guitar, bass, and trumpet rolls into the Stamford Gables at 3:30 with covers spanning rock, yacht rock, jazz, blues, and beyond. Yes, trumpet. Yes, it works. We adore Guitar Sandwich! 🎺
