It’s such a privilege to know these two remarkable building stewards — Jeffrey Herr and Aaron Fowlkes. This photo was taken at the annual Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy’s annual conference where Aaron and his project team received a Wright Spirit Award.
I’m so proud Aaron will be in St. Louis next weekend for the Joanne and Alan Kohn Lecture to share the story behind Givenchy’s rehabilitation of the Anderton Court Shops on Rodeo Drive — one of Wright’s most iconic commercial works.

A limited number of tickets remain. This is a FREE event, but tickets are required. Reserve at the Museum’s Information Centers or at metrotix.com. https://www.slam.org/event/givenchy-rehabilitation-frank-lloyd-wright-shops/

Aaron is a charismatic speaker who will take you on a fascinating journey recounting a unique and important rehabilitation project. You will not want to miss this event!

(Construction) hats off to Audrey, a Clayton high school student who was our The Catalyst intern this year.
As part of her internship, Audrey spent time at a variety of architecture firms learning about a wide range of architecture projects and was involved in FLWHEP programming. Next year, Audrey is off to study architecture at Kansas State University.
Audrey worked with Clayton high school’s art club members and local artists on commemorative hats for members of the FLWHEP’s re-roofing construction team.

Pictured here is Ben Lugo, our project manager from McMillian Construction, with Audrey, who presented him with a hat decorated by Charlie Houska.
