Veterans Park in St. Cloud
The park's creation began in 1929 when the Woman's Club of St. Cloud, FL came together to beautify the city the by transforming the former mule yard into a public park space.
The Veterans Park was officially dedicated on June 13, 1937, by Mayor Clarence C. Smith to honor U.S. Armed Forces veterans.
•The grounds featured native landscaping and a community-funded pool.

Bandshell History
Construction for the park's distinctive bandshell broke ground on May 22, 1952, under the direction of Joseph Kneer, with additional support from the Jaycees in 1954.
• Opening dedication day hosted concerts in 1955 before being fully completed and officially dedicated on November 20, 1955.
The bandshell remains today and still host activities.

The museum will be closed, Saturday, September 26.
This will allow our volunteers to enjoy our St. Cloud Women’s Club Craft Fair.
This is our annual event that is hosted by The Women’s Club as our largest fundraising event of the year.

In honor of 9-11, we decided share our favorite mural in St. Cloud, Fl.

A mural by Ronald Dempsey in memory of Harry A Green Sr and Thomas Norman Grafton, as well as all those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. We shall never forget.

Ross E. Jeffries School will be celebrating 100 years in August 2027.

•Ross E. Jeffries Elementary School was built in 1927 and originally named West Side Grade School.

•The building Design is the Mediterranean Revival style by architectural firm Ryan & Roberts, featuring an arched porch, offset tower main entry, and Chicago-style windows

•The school was renamed in the 1960s to honor long-time principal Ross Jeffries, who led the school from roughly 1946 to 1962.

•Between 1953 to 1965, the school went through an expansion, adding a cafeteria between 1953 and 1965, an administration and kindergarten section in 1977, and a media center in 1987.
