We are celebrating America’s semiquincentennial in true Ozark style at our Ozarks 250 Block Party on Saturday, July 11, from 3 to 8 p.m.! The entire Shiloh Museum campus is transforming into a massive, free community festival honoring the rich, diverse tapestry of our region.
We are also debuting our brand-new exhibit, Our Changing Landscape, which offers a unique Ozarks take on America's 250th birthday.
Here is a sneak peek of the incredible lineup:
🎵 Live Music: Country singer-songwriter and Gar Hole Records founder Nick Shoulders!
💃 Dance Performances: Chinese Association of NWA, Nkauj Hmoob Puavpheej, NWA Historic Dancers, Ocean Wave, Ra-Ve Cultural Foundation, and square dancing with the Shiloh Old Time Pickers.
🗣️ Presentations: Brooks Blevins, Brandon Weston, Emily Pianalto-Beshears, and Stephanie Carter. 🎨 Family Fun and Activities: 19th-century games with the Old State House Museum, paper chain-making with The Scott Family Amazeum, the Crystal Bridges Mobile Art Lab, and hands-on fun with the J.B. & Johnelle Hunt Family Ozark Highlands Nature Center.
🛠️ History Demos and Rides: Traditional woodworking, blacksmithing, and mini-train rides!
🌍 Community Displays: Arkansas Coalition of Marshallese, Hmong Culture Club, and the Museum of Native American History.
🚚 Food: Local food trucks serving up tasty treats!
