A REMINDER: If you had a family member(s) from Fannett or Metal Township, serve in the Revolutionary War, please submit the name of your ancestor to us so that we may include their service on a list currently being compiled for our Celebrate America 250th Birthday. This is a once in a lifetime CELEBRATION and we want to make it EPIC! Help us out and we can always use more volunteers too!

Path Valley Historical Society has been busy organizing numerous ways for Path Valley Folks to participate and help celebrate America's 250th Birthday! Today, May 1, 2026, an attentive and delightful Fannett-Metal student body group enjoyed Matt Dodd Revolutionary War perform songs and tell The Revolutionary War story. American Legion Post 232 presented an explanation and demonstration of the folding of the American Flag at Fannett-Metal High School and provided booklets about our American Flag to every student. This was just the beginning of our 250 America Birthday Celebration. PVHS hopes you gain an enjoyable insight to this awesome program enjoyed by all!
Thank you Matt Dodd, McCartney Post 232 American Legion and Fannett-Metal School District teachers and entire staff! Several PVHS members were onsite to enjoy and assist in the program.

My very special contribution to The Path Valley Historical Society is this completed sampler which took approximately 260-300 hours to complete. It was a joy to make this very special commemorative sampler. Stop by the building and take a look at this hopefully forever piece of Path Valley History!
