Artist Loren Eiferman has developed a practice rooted in accumulation, repetition, and the patient transformation of natural materials. In Voynich #1, Eiferman joins 124 individual pieces of wood into a winding, biomorphic structure that seems to grow upward from its base, part plant form, part invented organism, part line drawing extended into space.

Inspired by a page from the Voynich Manuscript, the sculpture reflects Eiferman’s deep sensitivity to organic systems, coded visual languages, and the intelligence of natural forms. Its looping branches, circular openings, and suspended wooden spheres suggest growth, movement, and connection in a structure that feels both carefully constructed and uncannily alive.

Kelly-McKenna Gallery is pleased to announce “I Love Your Work”, a two-person exhibition featuring paintings by Rob Ventura and sculptures by Loren Eiferman, presented in partnership with Space Gallery St Barth.

The exhibition’s title reflects the directness and generosity of artistic recognition. “I love your work” becomes both an expression of admiration and an acknowledgment of creative kinship in the moment when one artist recognizes that another has been asking similar questions in a different form. Installed together, Ventura’s paintings and Eiferman’s sculptures appear to emerge from a related ecosystem: lines become branches, patterns suggest cellular networks, and repeated forms accumulate into something larger, stranger, and uncannily alive.

Thank you Laura Sallade and SENSUS for including Kelly-McKenna Gallery and paintings by Kelcie Mack in “Elsewhere Art Fair Defies Neutrality”, reflecting on the experience of encountering art throughout Elsewhere Art Fair at YOWIE.

Writing about Kelcie Mack’s Still Life with Rocking Chair #3, Sallade describes Mack’s paintings as “an index of color and form,” and considers the intimate relationship between the work, its surroundings, and the viewer.

Kelcie Mack is a contemporary painter whose work centers on abstracted depictions of furniture, exploring the familiar relationships we form with objects and their makers. Through color, structure, negative space, and form, her paintings draw attention to craftsmanship while reconsidering the everyday objects that quietly shape our domestic lives.

We’re grateful to have been part of Elsewhere Art Fair’s inaugural Philadelphia edition and to see Kelcie’s work highlighted among the fair’s presentations.

Following a recent fire in an adjacent business, our Spring Lake gallery space has been temporarily affected.

Thankfully, Kelly-McKenna Gallery remains open, active, and available by appointment.

We have contacted the artists whose work was in the gallery and are carefully assessing next steps. We are deeply grateful for the extraordinary support, care, and quick action of our community during this time.

Kelly-McKenna Gallery is pleased to feature work by Kelly Witmer in Ever New Waters, our first-ever all-female exhibition, on view June 25 through August 2, 2026.

Working across sculpture, ceramics, glass, and mixed media, Witmer creates sculptural objects that suggest both natural materials and living forms, while remaining open to interpretation.

In Matte Black Mirror #2, raku ceramic and glass are transformed through heat, gravity, and an element of chance. The result is a sculpture that appears permanent but also fluid. In this way, Witmer’s practice speaks directly to the core themes of Ever New Waters: perception, transformation, and the idea that an artwork reveals itself differently each time we return to it.

What you see first is only the beginning: Kelly-McKenna Gallery is pleased to present Ever New Waters, our first-ever all-female exhibition, on view June 25 through August 2, 2026.

Bringing together eleven artists working across painting, sculpture, collage, and mixed media, Ever New Waters considers the ways works of art reveal themselves gradually. A surface that first appears simple becomes complex; a moment of beauty opens into something stranger and less easily resolved.

The exhibition takes its title from the idea that one cannot step into the same river twice. In that spirit, Ever New Waters treats perception not as fixed, but as something shaped by time, proximity, perspective, memory, and imagination.

Kelly-McKenna Gallery is pleased to presents Ever New Waters, our first all-female exhibition, on view June 25 through August 2, 2026.

Among the works on view is Brigid Kennedy’s “Summer Solstice” (2024), a layered, luminous piece on Dura-Lar archival film that moves between interior and exterior space, between reflection and observation, the familiar and the quietly strange.

The painting offers more than first glance suggests. What reads initially as a fragment of domestic life, a porch, a garden, a window, a dog resting near the threshold, gradually complicates itself. Surfaces overlap, light refracts, and the line between what is seen directly and what is mirrored begins to dissolve.

Ever New Waters takes its title from the notion that a person cannot step into the same river twice. The exhibition extends that premise by treating perception not as passive receipt but as something that shifts with time and return.

Today is the last day of Fly Over at Kelly-McKenna Gallery.

The show’s heart (and the image that graced its invitation) belongs to Ruth Borum-Loveland. Based in Oklahoma City, Ruth works with earth pigments derived from soil color studies, translating direct engagement with landscape into restrained, elemental abstractions. She collects clay deposits from places she visits, combines them with egg yolk, and creates paint so that each piece is both art and documentation of the land itself.

The resulting artwork Prairie Water I is exactly that: horizon after horizon, in amber, rose, and prairie grey. The American interior, rendered from the ground up.
