Join the Spencer Historical Society for The Daring Adventures of Women Patriots on Sunday, May 3 at 1:00 PM at Spencer Town Hall (112 N. Main St.).

Step back in time with Colonial impersonator Kathy Kraus as she brings to life the incredible stories of Revolutionary War women - spies, soldiers, and everyday patriots whose courage helped shape our nation.

🏛️ Museum open until 3:00 PM following the presentation

🎄 Thank You, Spencer! 🎄

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Spencer Community Tree Lighting last Saturday - it was truly a great time and a wonderful way to kick off the season together!

A huge shout-out and heartfelt thanks to:
✨ The Spencer Beautification Committee for helping kids create the many beautiful ornaments decorating our tree
✨ Reverend Ludwig for the opening invocation
✨ Mike Todd for providing the sound system
✨ The Black River High School Band and their director, Liam Sleggs, for filling the evening with festive Christmas carols
✨ The Spencer Fire Department for safely delivering our very special guests
✨ Our local law enforcement for helping keep the evening safe
✨ And of course, Santa and the Grinch for spreading extra holiday cheer

We are so grateful to everyone who helped make this event so special. ❤️💚💛

🎄 Help Us Gift a Smile This Christmas! 🎄
The Spencer Historical Society is once again partnering with Farmers Savings Bank for our annual Giving Tree.

Now through December 19th, you can make a difference right here in our own community. Simply drop off gift cards or cash donations to any teller at Farmers Savings Bank.

Your donations will go directly toward:
• Helping local families pay water bills during difficult times
• Purchasing gift cards to brighten Christmas for those who need a little extra help

Every contribution helps us support our neighbors and spread kindness throughout Spencer.

Spencer Community Pig Roast – September 14th!

🎟 Tickets are still available! Message us here or call 330-416-3300 to reserve yours.

Join us on Sunday, September 14th for an evening of delicious food and live music by the B.A.D. Band! Take-out will also be available.

This event is our only fundraiser that makes everything we do possible! From placing flowers on veterans’ graves, caring for the memorial banners, hosting the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting, and sponsoring the Giving Tree, to keeping our historical museum and Spencer Town Crier newsletter going strong.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our veterans - for your service and for proudly joining us on our float this morning for the Fourth of July parade. Today, and everyday, your presence is an honor we will never take for granted.

We’re also grateful to Claudia Williams for the generous loan of her beautiful vintage Chevy truck!

And to our amazing Spencer community; you remind us every year that the spirit of small-town America is alive and well. ❤️🤍💙
