We are a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to supporting and serving local artists and craftspeople. Located in the heart of historic Sparta, NC, Alleghany Arts and Crafts is a feast for the eyes. We offer a beautiful array of locally created artwork and crafts. Our one-of-a-kind works range from fine art paintings, photography, pottery, painted glass, jewelry, quilts, clothing, knitting and crocheting

, baskets, toys, cutting boards, lazy Susan’s, cards, jams and jellies, to leather, woodwork and much more. Our mission is to support and serve artists and craftspeople by engaging the community through the sale of art and crafts and the promotion of education, exhibits, special programs and events.

Do You Know??? This month we ask Main St. Sparta, NC if they know the only native marsupial in North America! This one is a short one. Ran out of time to record everyone. Participants in this one are That’s My Boba , Purple Door Apothecary , Sparta Candle Co. , and Muddy Creek Cafe and Music Hall (which I can never pull up to tag correctly).

We also ask that you help support the business' that were affected by the fire once they open back up while also respecting traffic detours, law enforcement and rebuilding. You can go to the business' page to see how and when they are operating.
