Over the next week, we’ll be introducing you to the talented interns who have spent their summer researching, cataloging, creating exhibits, working with our collections, giving tours, and helping bring the Barnes Museum to life!
Meet Emma! Emma is a rising junior at Trinity College in Hartford, where she is double majoring in Religious Studies and Philosophy with a minor in History. She enjoys researching topics across the humanities and has held several research positions through the college.
A Southington native, Emma was first introduced to the Barnes Museum through an outreach program at her elementary school. That experience inspired her to visit the museum and, years later, return as an intern after graduating from high school and again this summer! Emma especially values the way the Barnes encourages visitors to compare the past with the present and, through that experience, see their own everyday lives a little differently.
Want to see what Emma and our other interns have been working on? Join us for our Fall Open House on Saturday, August 22 from 10:00 AM–4:00 PM!
