The museum will be open on May 31 from 1-4pm. If you have an interest in railroading or local history, stop by and check out the museum. We will have several members on hand to answer questions and show you around. Also, if you clean out an old desk, trunk, closet or attic and come across anything railroad related, please keep the museum in mind. We are always looking to add items to the museum.

Neat photo that was posted by the Twin Cities Chamber of Commerce. That's an early Fairmont Railway Motors M19 motor car the guy is standing by. F3213 is the ICRR assigned number.

Twin Cities Trivia
This is a photo from the early days of the Fulton Depot picturing Edgar Rowan Bell, father of Eddie Eugene Bell who also worked the rails. Granddaughter, Jen Bell of San Diego, California recently visited the train museum and left us with good stories and some memorabilia.

This past Thursday, Canadian National fielded two locomotives that had been painted in honor of America's 250th birthday. Whoever did the work on these paint Jobs showed out, they look good!!! Thanks CN for making this happen, they are a positive tribute to the country. These engines brought train Z194 from Homewood, IL to Memphis, TN with great fanfare along the way. The following day, they came back north on train Z195 and the same excitement was in the air. There have been some excellent photos taken of these units in their travels and kudos to those photographers. I was fortunate to be able to get some shots of the units at Fulton, KY during the crew swap on their journey back to Homewood. I even got my photo taken while taking my photos. That does happen often.😄

A blast from the past. These photos show the layout that was at the Obion County Fair Grounds Museum building in years past. The layout depicted Union City, Rives and Gibbs. These photos were taken in 1983. The layout currently being constructed at the Twin Cities Railroad Museum is a modern variation of this layout with considerable territory and trackage added including Fulton and Martin. If you have an interest in model railroading stop by the museum and check out what's being built.
