Six years, five months, 57 exhibitions, 13 art fairs, and most importantly, a community I will carry with me.

LaiSun Keane has officially closed its Boston chapter. I am deeply grateful to every artist who trusted me, and every collector, curator, writer, friend and supporter who showed up, believed in what I was trying to build, and made these years so meaningful.

This photo from our little farewell gathering says more than I can. The gallery may have been my name on the door, but it was this community that gave it life.

Thank you, Boston, for an unforgettable six years. This is the end of Chapter One, but hopefully not the end of the story. ❤️

Commuting during COVID, looking at the stunningly blue sky reminded me of poring over screens. This led to paintings exploring the specter of death against beautiful skies, capturing the guilt and strangeness of celebrating amidst global turmoil. It's a very American feeling.

From s*x and sports to death and war, these themes seem to define the American experience. It's a thought-provoking internal monologue about what truly makes us tick.

Exploring the convergence of trompe-l'œil and action painting, this piece questions where we find art in the world. It draws parallels between learning to read, the unseen effort in professional sports, and the complex themes Jasper Johns explored.

Initially hesitant about exhibiting identical silicone pieces, the artist found inspiration in American traditions like the 4th of July. The repetition, seen in flags and cakes, now makes sense. Visitors are encouraged to gently interact with the art.

An artist's work can truly captivate, even before meeting them in person. This painter's blue and red pencil drawings on white paper have made a lasting impression, inspiring the palette for an upcoming show.

Building a rapport with an artist in the same building led to an unexpected request for the show: 'I need a dinosaur.' He embraced the role, becoming the proud representation of an old white guy artist. It's not a self-portrait, but it captures something special.

Exploring how digital identities are captured and displayed in art. This collection features real people and brings to mind Middle America's motorcycle culture, the Great Plains, and simple joys like relaxing with a b**r. It feels like the universe guided this artist into the show.

This photo captures a raw, unapologetic moment with my best friend. It's me and Jamieson, taking a p**s in a back alley. It perfectly embodies the spirit of this show – a playful, British-style critique of the world around us. No hiding, just living.
