Bertha Terry Cornwell Museum of Sour Lake History

Bertha Terry Cornwell Museum of Sour Lake History The museum operates on monetary contributions from individuals, is administered by the City of Sour Lake, and is staffed by volunteers.

The Bertha Terry Cornwell Museum of Sour Lake history was created largely from a bequest from the late Bertha Cornwell, long time Sour Lake librarian and historian. Former and current residents of Sour Lake, as well as their descendants, are our major sources of donated items. The museum welcomes your items of historical significance, whether original or copies, on loan or as a permanent donation.

We welcome your support and your suggestions. Our ongoing financial needs include the purchase of archival materials for securely documenting and preserving donated items. We are proud that our archives continue to grow, and we have many collections available for browsing or for research.
