The Quecreek Mine Rescue Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization created to preserve the Quecreek Mine Rescue Memorial. From July 24-28, 2002, millions worldwide watched and waited as rescuers worked around the clock to save nine men trapped in the flooded Quecreek mine in Lincoln Township, Somerset County.

The Educational Visitors Center is open 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday- Friday, and weekends by advanced reservation. Please call (814) 445-5090 to inquire about a weekend visit. We request a $7 per person donation for admission. Proceeds benefit the Quecreek Mine Rescue Foundation, a 501(C)3 non-profit organization.
