Assistant Director
Quecreek Mine Rescue Foundation
Position Summary
The Assistant Director plays a key role in supporting the daily operations and long-term success of the Quecreek Mine Rescue Foundation. This hands-on position requires a highly organized and adaptable individual who can manage multiple responsibilities while helping to advance the Foundation’s mission.
Position Details
Reports to: Executive Director
Status: Full-time
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Key Responsibilities
Operations
Manage day-to-day administrative systems, office functions, and internal processes
Help maintain efficient workflows and organizational policies
Program Support
Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating core community programs and services
Track program outcomes and support continuous improvement efforts
Fundraising & Outreach
Support donor communications and relationship management
Assist with grant writing, social media content, and fundraising initiatives
Help coordinate special events and community outreach efforts
Staff & Volunteer Coordination
Assist with onboarding, scheduling, and supporting part-time staff and volunteers
Foster a positive and collaborative team environment
Board Support
Prepare meeting materials, reports, and schedules for Board of Directors meetings
Provide administrative support to ensure effective board engagement
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business, social work, or a related field preferred
Experience
2–3 years of experience in nonprofit administration, program coordination, or office management
Skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Proficiency with standard computer software and spreadsheets
Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
