LET THEM COOK is a teen art program at Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center that features workshops, volunteer opportunities, teen events and exhibits. Hot off the press! Ann's Circle and the Koenig Private Foundation, the two non-profit organizations that work together to operate Annmarie Garden are pleased to present the FY 23 Annual Report. It's a colorful and engaging exploration of our many programs, projects, exhibits, events, and activities of last year, full of great photos, terrific quotes, and interesting statistics. Did you know our Clay Studio used more than 6000 pounds of clay last year? Did you know we cultivate more than 150 native plant species in the garden? Did you know that 646 artists exhibited their work in our galleries last year? Did you know 35,425 guests visited the light show? Did you know 418 people attended the opening reception for our Vibe Check Teen Art Exhibit? Did you know nearly 50 local businesses sponsored our events? Did you know the Maryland State Arts Council helps to support our operations? Did you know the Board of Calvert County Commissioners provided 15% of our operating funds last year? Our Story

RISE UP! is a teen art program at Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center that features workshops, volunteer opportunities, a leadership program, and periodic exhibits. The program began in 2010 when the first Text/message Teen Art Exhibit was presented at Annmarie Garden, featuring the work of more than 70 teens. In 2013, a second Text/Message Teen Art Exhibit was produced featuring the work of more than 50 teens. In addition to exhibit opportunities, the program also includes the Teen Counselor-In-Training Program, a highly successful summer leadership and volunteer program for teens.

In 2018, the name of the program was changed to RISE UP! in anticipation of the newest exhibit opportunity which will open on February 15, 2019. Teens who are interested in exhibiting their work in RISE UP! should visit https://annmariegarden.wufoo.com/forms/application-form-rise-up-a-teen-art-exhibit/ for details and information. The deadline to apply is December 10, 2019.
