You’ll find artist Michele Marquardt at stop No.3, Burkhead Art Center, on the Studio Tour.

Eleven years ago, Michele discovered glass fusing while searching for a new artistic medium. Mesmerized by the fluidity of melting glass, she knew she had found her medium. She enjoys experimenting with different techniques, glass types, and firing temperatures to create depth, vibrant color, and intricate detail. Her inspiration ranges from scenic landscapes and orcas to humpback whales, sea life, and the rustic charm of local wineries.

Annual Snohomish Studio Tour
September 26 & 27, 2026 | 10am - 6pm

Come spend the weekend exploring local art studios-from outbuildings, historic homes, garages, to shared art spaces. Meet the featured artists, watch them create, and learn about their process.
Artists will open up their workspaces to share an intimate look into their work, finished and in progress, and the spaces in which they create. Each studio will be a unique experience, many hosting local guest artists as well for a showcase of a variety of styles and mediums.

Interested in learning how to create sculptural stained glass projects? Here's your chance to learn how with Kristin Harsma Kristin Harsma.

This will be her last workshop this summer at Burkhead Art Center. She is taking a couple months to travel to visit family and teach in Sioux Falls, SD while visiting family.

Don't worry! She plans to return to our art center teaching glass arts in October. She'll be back with new ideas for classes and more experience ready to share knowledge and skills with our growing glass community.
