🦋 More watercolor wings! 🎨✨

I’ve been having so much fun creating these lately. What do you think? Would you put one of these on your wall? 💜

I start by drawing the wing, then slowly build it up with layers of color. I love combining the organic designs and intricate patterns with the softness and flow of watercolor. There’s something so peaceful about watching each wing come to life. 🦋

Every one turns out a little different, and I think that’s my favorite part—just like real butterfly wings, no two are exactly alike. 💕

Which one is your favorite? And would you hang one in your home? 👇

Recovery from surgery has been rough, so while I’m unable to do much physically, I’ve been spending more time sketching butterfly wings. 🦋💜

Here are a few that I’ve finished recently! I start each one with a pencil sketch, then once I’m happy with it, I use a fine-tip black Sharpie to outline everything. After the Sharpie is completely dry, I use watercolor markers to lay in the color. Finally, I add a little water to a brush and blend everything together. 🎨✨

I’ve really been enjoying this process, and it’s been such a peaceful creative outlet during recovery.

What do you think of these? 🦋 Would you love to see some of these designs make their way onto some future mugs? ☕️💜

Four weeks ago, I had my surgery, and recovery has definitely been a journey. There have been some minor complications along the way, and some days have been harder than others, but little by little, I’m getting stronger and feeling more like myself. ❤️

Today is another BIG milestone — I’m getting my chemo port removed! 🙌 One more step away from breast cancer treatments, and I couldn’t be more excited. 🎉

Now that I’m officially CANCER FREE, I feel like I’ve been given a new perspective — a clean slate, a fresh start, and an even greater appreciation for simply being here. I’m so happy to be here for it all. 🦋💜

Please continue to keep us in your prayers. 🙏 While I’m cancer free, my treatment journey isn’t quite over yet. In a few weeks, I’ll begin 15 rounds of radiation, and I’m praying for continued strength, healing, and good days ahead.

And as if this season of life wasn’t already emotional enough… my sweet boy starts KINDERGARTEN on Monday. 🥹🎒 I am SO incredibly proud of him, but this mama’s heart is definitely hurting a little. How did my baby get so big so fast?! ❤️

Here are some pictures from our butterfly release. 🦋 It was such a beautiful and meaningful day, and a memory I will treasure forever. It feels especially fitting as I step into this new chapter — spreading my wings and embracing this fresh start.

Our family could still use some support as we continue through this journey. If you’re able, please consider sharing our GoFundMe or making a donation. Every share, prayer, and contribution means more to us than you know. ❤️

Thank you for continuing to love, pray for, encourage, and support our family. We are so incredibly grateful. 🦋💜

If you’ve been following my story, you know I’ve been calling this The Year of the Butterfly. 🦋

I’ve been telling myself that this year was a year of cocooning—resting, healing, growing, and trusting that when the time is right, I’ll spread my wings. Focusing on those wings and imagining how beautiful they will be has helped carry me through so much of my treatment this year.

Our sweet friend Marcia gave us the opportunity to release some butterflies, and it was such a beautiful, emotional, and cathartic experience. I’m so thankful I got to share this special moment with my husband and our sweet boy, Sebastian. ❤️

Just look at Sebastian’s sweet smile as he helps me release my butterfly. 🥹🦋 I have ALL the mom feels watching this video.

More than anything, I’m just incredibly thankful that I get to be here—to watch this little boy grow, to see who he becomes, and hopefully one day watch him grow into a wonderful young man.

This butterfly felt like a little reminder that there is life after the cocoon. There is beauty after the struggle. And there are still so many beautiful chapters ahead. 🦋✨

Thank you, Marcia, for giving us this unforgettable memory. ❤️

🦋 THE YEAR OF THE BUTTERFLY 🦋

This year, butterflies have found their way into my heart… and onto my watercolor paper. 🎨🦋

I haven’t been able to make pottery lately, but I’ve been reminding myself that creativity doesn’t always have to look the way it used to.

So I’ve been surrounding myself with butterflies, painting their wings, sketching, dreaming, and making an appointment with myself every single day to feel inspired. 💜

And today, I celebrated a BIG little milestone…

MY DRAIN TUBE IS OUT! 🙌🏼😭💗

Everything went great, and I’m so thankful for another step forward in this healing journey.

Maybe this season isn’t about making pottery.

Maybe it’s about transforming.

Resting.

Healing.

Creating in a different way.

And preparing to spread my wings again. 🦋

One day at a time. One brushstroke at a time. One little blessing at a time. 💜

The butterfly reminds me that transformation takes time… but beautiful things can come from the waiting. 🦋✨

🦋 The Year of the Butterfly 🦋

This year, the butterfly has taken on a whole new meaning for me. Transformation. Strength. Patience. New beginnings. 🦋💜

While I haven’t been able to make pottery lately, I’ve been finding other ways to keep my creativity alive. I’ve been surrounding myself with butterflies, studying their wings, sketching them, and creating watercolor paintings inspired by their beautiful patterns and delicate details. 🎨🦋

I’ve made a point every day to feel inspired — even if it’s just sitting quietly with my sketchbook and letting my mind wander. I may not be able to get my hands in the clay right now, but that doesn’t mean I have to stop creating.

Today was another little milestone in my recovery. I got my drain tube out! 🙌🏼💗 What a huge blessing! Everything went great, and I’m so thankful to be moving one step closer to feeling like myself again.

This season has taught me that sometimes transformation doesn’t happen quickly. Sometimes you have to rest, heal, wait, and trust the process. And sometimes, just like a butterfly, you have to spend a little time in your own quiet place before you’re ready to spread your wings. 🦋

So for now, I’m letting the pottery wait while I paint, sketch, dream, and gather inspiration for the day I can return to my studio. I’m already imagining all the things I’ll create when my hands are back in the clay. 💜

Here’s to healing, creativity, new beginnings, and spreading our wings. 🦋✨
