in 1956, Senator Smith warmly welcomed the Skowhegan class of 1916 to her home—now part of our museum and library—for their special 40th High School reunion. It's amazing to think this year marks 110 years since she earned her high school diploma!

in 2022 Bigelow Brewing hosted a MCS trivia night and staff were on hand to take part in the festivities. We had such a wonderful time hosting John Meader and his incredible traveling planetarium! It was fantastic teaming up with our friends at the Skowhegan Free Public Library, and we were thrilled to welcome over 50 kids to our Library as part of their summer programming!

Actors Sharon Gardner and Jon Root of the Los Angeles production of "Conscience" were recently interviewed about their stage roles as Senators Margaret Chase Smith and Joseph McCarthy respectively. As you may recall, Sharon recently visited the Library to learn more about Senator Smith.
