Spotlight on today's runner: 1950 Farmall M
Although she looks old and rusty in her work clothes, this 76 year old tractor still runs like a sewing machine. Her job today?, disc-harrowing the furrows from our Plowing with Draft Horses demonstration in early May. Better late than never.....😏😊

Funeral invitation of Mrs. Barbara Gotwals Tyson (1811-1901) Age 90
Barbara was married to Henry Bornemann Tyson (1806-1884). They would own the Allebach-Cholet Farm from 1865 to 1869, afterwhich ownership would pass to Henry's brother John Bornemann Tyson (1810-1889). In total, the Tyson brothers would own the farmstead from 1865 to 1875. The artesian seeps, swamps, and pond on the farm is the source of "Tyson's Run" which empties into the "Little Skippack Creek" which meanders behind Skippack Village.
Note that the funeral is at Ironbridge (Rahns) and interment at the Skippack Dunkard Meetinghouse (Church of the Brethren).
