Door County Chair will be joining us at the Open Aire Market on Saturday, June 13! Door County Chair chairs and tables are made of Northern White Cedar. This durable, slightly aromatic wood is suited to outdoor weather exposure. It is also a very natural wood in that the color, hardness, and grain vary greatly. There may be knots of different sizes and shapes. These qualities add to their beauty and character - no two are alike!

Come try them out at the Open Aire Market on Saturday, June 13 from 9am to 1pm at the Corner of the Past!

The Sister Bay Moravian Women will be bringing their beautiful handwoven rugs back to the Open Aire Market! These "rag rugs" have been a project of the women at Sister Bay Moravian through three generations! All of the material used is recycled - from members, friends, neighbors, and yard sales. Sometimes they receive unsellable jeans from Bargains Unlimited. Volunteers cut strips, sew them together, and wind the strips into fabric balls ready to be woven by a weaver in Green Bay.

Check out their beautiful handmade rugs at our Open Aire Market beginning on Saturday, June 13! And be sure to mark your calendar for Saturday, August 1 when they will provide a weaving demonstration in the Koessl Barn during the Market!

Bakery products using local ingredients are baked in their certified kitchen. While Sully's sells primarily at farmers markets, several local restaurants and grocery stores are customers as well.

Welcome back - look forward to seeing you on June 13!!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our third annual Mother's Day Brunch and Silent Auction - what an amazing day!

Thank You so very much to our friends at Thyme for their ongoing partnership on this very special event - we are so grateful for their support!!

Thanks also to our sponsors - Carlson Erickson Builders and Going Garbage - as well as over 50 local businesses and friends who contributed to our amazing silent auction. The sweet treats provided by our crew of volunteer bakers was truly spectacular, and Paul Taylor's beautiful melodies provided the perfect backdrop!

Thank you to all of you who had brunch, stopped in the Hoop House for a treat, made a bid or two, and took a tour of the Little Sister Barn - we hope you had a wonderful day too!

Have you heard the news? The Sister Bay Historical Society has been nominated for a 2026 Governor's Tourism Award in the Arts, Culture & Heritage category, recognizing our role in preserving local history while enhancing Wisconsin's tourism experience!

We're so thankful to all who make what we do possible - our amazing and tireless volunteers, our generous business supporters, the village of Sister Bay, and the Sister Bay Advancement Association.

The credit also lies with those who came before us. The community members who started this organization, recognizing the need to preserve Sister Bay's history ... and imagining what we might be able to do at our little "corner of the past."
