This event recently held September 15, was well attended from folks interested in Texas Coastal Bend history. They came from as far north as San Antonio and as far south as McAllen. The presenter, Randy Bissell, is a geologist and instructor at Texas A&M Corpus Christi. He kept the attendees' full attention and was inundated with questions after his presentation. Did you know that mastodons roamed this area 10,000 years ago?

Darlene & Kenneth Vanecek walked into the museum today along with Katherine Ramsel (Kenneth's sister). They came in to donate a WWII Army uniform that had been worn by Kenneth's & Katherine's father- Emil C. Vanecek. Kenneth thoughtfully & carefully displayed it in a large frame before bringing it into the museum. Please come by and view our most recent addition to our military display!

This was the scene around the Sinton area one day in August-beautiful sight! I texted the photo "Texas Snow" to my friend in Nampa, Idaho explaining to her that Texas gets its snow in the summer. She sent me a "LOL!" Grateful for our local farmers.

I've been asked by several locals in the past for a photo of Freddie's Restaurant. Didn't have one until very recently and am sharing it with you now. The museum has menus of the Chat n' Chew and The Steak House Restaurants, but not one of Freddie's. Would like one to add to the collection. Please share your memories of the restaurant.
