Santa Susana Railroad Historical Society

Santa Susana Railroad Historical Society Come visit our HO scale model railroad layout. We are open to the public Saturday and Sunday afternoons between 1 pm and 4 pm.

We are located in the depot at 6503 Katherine Road, Simi Valley California http://www.santasusannadepot.org/Clubhome Our HO scale DCC controlled (Digitrax) layout is permanently located in a retired Southern Pacific depot located adjacent to the Santa Susana Park. We model a fictional layout loosely based on the west coast route of the Southern Pacific between Los Angeles and Portland. Our layout has over 400 feet of mainline, three main freight yards, and several passenger stations.

Our long-time docent Curt Osterhoudt leads viewers through a tour of the museum, apartment, and the history of the depot and surrounding area. Hope you enjoy it!
