Our speaker for Friday night’s event “Return of Bigfoot”, Michael Mayes is a 20 year veteran Bigfoot researcher and collaborator and has authored two books on Bigfoot. This is one of his books -that I myself have read -that contain information about Bigfoot research in the Big Thicket and Neches River. Whether skeptical or not, this book is at the very least fascinating and the most is real documentation. This book, and his others will be available for purchase and signing by Michael Friday night. Our tickets are selling briskly but we still have seats available. See our website to purchase tickets online. (Icehousemuseum.org)

What do you see when you come to a Bigfoot Returns night at the Icehouse Museum? Mostly you see ordinary people from all walks of life, sitting quietly. So quiet, in fact, it feels unusual. A lot of people are just curious, a lot of people are Bigfoot enthusiasts, but the quietest ones are people who have seen or heard something they can't explain out there and just want to get some answers. Michael Mayes is a scientist, an author and someone who has studied this in a scientific setting (often with Universities) for 20 years. I was skeptical in the beginning, but we study all aspects of The Big Thicket at the musuem. The first time we had this lecture, no one really wanted to talk about their experiences in the lecture. But AFTER the meeting, people stood in line at the book signing until 11:30 at night, talking privately to Michael about their experiences! After I sat and heard all of those stories, I was completely shocked. Most people were afraid to talk about it because people would think they were crazy. Many of them had NEVER told anyone about it until now. After that, this skeptical girl was convinced there is something out there. We need to explore this phenomina of The Big Thicket at the museum. If anyone ever tells me they are positive a certain creature is not out there--be it panthurs, Big foot or armadillos, I realize they don't know the possibilities of our Big thicket. Nobody knows what is out there under every bush and thicket deep in the Big Thicket with certainty. I have found a number of historical sitings from the pioneer times, in fact one was from Lance Rossier--one of the founders of The Big Thicket National Preserve. He reported finding the body of a huge ape. I keep an open mind, because I am a fallable human being. No one pushes an opinion on anyone. However, one thing I know for sure, this is an absolutely fascinating night, whether you believe or not. We still have tickets, but they are going. Get them on the website or at the door, as long as they last. Or come by the museum. It is next Friday night, June 12 at 6:30. Tickets: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/bigfoot-returns
