Did you know that JBU used to have an airport?

The John Brown University Airport operated from the late 1920s through World War II, with a newer airfield opening in 1940 on the Arkansas-Oklahoma border before the aviation program wound down.

In recognition of National Radio Day, we are sharing a postcard of KUOA Broadcasting Studio on the John Brown University Campus in Siloam Springs (2008.6.292).

The call letters were first used February 15, 1926 at a radio station at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. The station moved to JBU on November 26, 1936.

For today's , we are sharing a unique photo of the former Siloam Springs High School North Building, before the south building was constructed.

Towards the center of the photo you can see Hiway 412 before it was full of businesses.

Also, near the top right corner, you can see the former Movie Park Drive-In screen!
