All things must change to something new, to something strange.

~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Dear Friends,

It is with great sadness that I announce the closing of the physical space known as Mosquito Hawk Gallery on Shelter Island effective immediately. The historic building has been sold by the Shelter Island Historical Society and we are no longer tenants of the building.

Fortunately, Mosquito Hawk is more than a room, more than movable walls on which to hang art. Mosquito Hawk will remain on the edge, dipping a toe in the absurd and embracing beauty in its myriad forms. You will find Mosquito Hawk at art fairs, pop up shows and sometimes hanging from the trees. In short, Mosquito Hawk Gallery is going rogue!

Upcoming shows and new works by Mary Larsen will be posted in the coming months.

As with any great metamorphosis, Mosquito Hawk will emerge with new wings and I, for one, embrace this freedom. Please continue to follow us on mosquitohawkgallery.com and on Facebook.

I thank you all for your friendship and support over the last three years. Please continue along with us on this grand adventure.
