Such a beautiful change to the Nelson school which houses the Werner Lode wood crafts, painting, carving etc.
Thank you Peter Vanden Berg for scraping, caulking, priming and painting the front of the school.
Now, to get someone who can take down the sign so we can get it painted and hang again. Anybody willing to do this for us? Contact Karin at 712-899-1748

Today my hubby is out at the Historical Park again. Not mowing, not edging the sidewalks, not trimming bushes, not pouring or painting… but
He is scraping the front of the Nelson School
Just last week two new windows were put in.
So my hubby is out scraping the front and will paint it when that is done. We do need the sign touched up… But it is higher than my hubby dares to go with his legs.
This is the front now. And he finished priming the front. Sign needs to be done yet.looks 100% better.

Nelson School at Prairie Arts Historical Park has gotten two new windows on the front of the building. This is the schoolhouse that holds all of Werner Lodes beautiful woodworking, painting and carving.
Thank you to his son Marlin Lode for purchasing the windows and for JT Construction for putting them in!
They were about to fall out because of the glazing on the windows and the trim around them.
Now if the weather stays nice the front will get scrapped and repainted.

The ramp rails and window trim have been scraped and painted on the 1908 Sears Roebuck Home. Thank you Pete VandenBerg for painting and scraping , and Yvette for scraping the rails. Good job! Thank you so much.
We need the front of Nelson school and the 1878 Prairie School need to be screwed and painted. Anyone willing to come get them scraped do we can paint. Contact me via text at 712-899-1748.

New Little Picasso sign is up on Baker School.

Bushes got trimmed in front of gallery, weeds will be attacked next.
With all the rain and wind, another piece is falling off the Nelson School. It houses the Werner Lode display. Thank you Pete VandenBerg for trimming bushes.

The ramp rails to the Gallery,(former Wansink home) are all painted thanks to Yvette Feekes for scraping the rails and Pete VandenBerg for scraping and painting them. All rails to the home, the Nelson School and the Prairie School are done being painted.
Before and after. Now the window frames will get done.

The scraping of paint is done and now to paint! If the weather permits. We got the paint, Pete plans on hopefully this week yet. Weather permitting.
