Our third quarterly of 2026 will be making its way to members over the next few days.

This issue takes us from the arrival of the C. & E. I. Railroad in Shelby County, to the wartime story of Varney Griffin and his son Robert, and back to the earliest days of Shelby County as we follow pioneer Barnett Bone and the people who helped build a new community.

The shirts have arrived...and six have already escaped!

Our new “I DID TIME AT THE SHELBY COUNTY JAIL — 1893” T-shirts are officially here — although apparently we're not very good at keeping them behind bars. Six found new homes almost as soon as we brought them through the door!

These black Gildan Heavy Cotton shirts feature a small SCHGS logo in white on the front and our large “I DID TIME AT THE SHELBY COUNTY JAIL — 1893” design in white on the back.
