#36 - is Bushey Grocery, #38 - Noah's Ark (John Q. Gibson prop.) , #40 - W. J. Higgins Jeweler
#42 - George Sutter & Son Meat Market
#44 - Shelby Hardware (Henry Morton mgr.)
#48 - Maryett, Roberts family home (Sometime after her death in 1910, the home was sold
and moved to #12 High School Ave. where it was rotated and placed where it stands today.)
#50 - #52 - Carmichael Block Dry Goods Store (In 1970 it was Keil's Dept. Store, In our day - gone)
#54 - George Connell Pool Hall, George H. Connell prop.
#56 - M. L. Rhodes Restaurant
B&O R.R. (note the approach from the west to the RR crossing was not nearly as steep as today.
Over the years, the road bed has been raised.)
#58 - Clifford Laser, Barber Shop (later moved to #53 West Main - now a part of Webers)
#62 - S. Spangler, Saloon, Stephen Spangler prop.
#64 - A. F. Schiffer, Saloon, Anthony F. Schiffer prop.

Shelby Central School history on High School Avenue in one photo.
In the foreground, the foundation of the"new"(1950)Central School.
Beyond that is what remains of the 1875 Central School.
In the background, 1901 Central School, is still largely untouched.
