Did you know that This Saturday June 6th is National Trails Day?

We have a nature trail right here at the museum! Come check out and enjoy our local flora & fauna. Pop inside before your walk to grab our handout for a self-guided tour of our grounds.

The nature trail is about 2/3 of a mile and gains about 70 feet of elevation. It is an easy 30-minute walk with stops at each of the marked stations corresponding to the trail guide.

Today is the last day to purchase tickets for our annual fundraiser dinner this Saturday June 6th!
Proceeds to go towards restoring and expanding our botanical gardens to preserve native plants, educate, and celebrate our mountain flora.

Did you Know that well over 90% of fungi species are yet to be discovered? Only around 14,000 have been named with millions yet to be identified.

To learn more about some of our local fungi come join us on Saturday May 30th at 9:30am for our FREE Hikes for History. This will be an easy-to-moderate hike, 1 -3 miles in the Shaver Lake area near the museum. Nathan Warner will guide us on a safe, family-friendly mushroom identification hike centered on curiosity and learning.
