Lilian Lunney acquired her passport in 1936, ahead of her trip to Europe in the same year. The images show the passport's cover, a full spread that includes a photo of Lilian Lunney, and a page selection that consists of some of the stamps acquired from her European travels. Unlike the modern blue passport covers given to ordinary travelers from the United States, the passports of the 1930s had a rich burgundy cover.

In 1936, Lilian Lunney took a trip to Europe as a member of the Heckerman Good Will Tour. The "certificate of membership" shown in the image above was required by AMEROP Travel Service, INC and was shown to the conductor when needed. AMEROP Travel Services, INC, managed the arrangements for travel, luggage, accommodations, and tours.
