My report to the Town of Selma was that the Help Lost Selma online fundraiser brought in $909.02. Thank you to Town Attorney Mark Abrell for his $100 donation tonight to the Help Lost Selma fundraiser. I threw in 98 cents. That makes our total amount raised $1,010.00. When the time comes to hire the firm to do the downtown plan, the LTHS will contribute $1,000 to the cost. Thank you to all who contributed!!

Help Lost Selma, Indiana!! is an online event. Send $1.00 to LTHS, P. O. Box 9, Selma, IN 47383, and it CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!

To proceed with hiring a firm to create a downtown plan, the Town of Selma needs to match 10% of the $50,000 cost. This plan is a prerequisite to apply for federal grant money for a downtown facade restoration, curbs, lighting, landscaping, etc. This would be similar to Historic Farmland.

The Town has given the Liberty Township Historical Society space for a Selma Town Museum, so we want to help raise part of the $5,000. The Community Foundation is providing $2,500, which leaves $2,500.

If each of my 1,466 (oops that number is now 1,485) FB friends sent just $1.00, we'd be so much closer. Considering that some can't or won't contribute, I've set $1,000 as my goal for this online event "Help Lost Selma, Indiana!!!".

You're also helping the Selma Post Office by mailing your $1.00 contribution to LTHS, P. O. Box 9, Selma, IN 47383. All contributors will be recognized if a name is provided. Thank you!!
