The 25th annual Alpine Artisan's Tour of the Arts Weekend returns October 10-11, featuring 10 studios and galleries and over 25 artists showing and demonstrating their work. This free, self-guided tour stretches from Condon through Seeley Lake to Lincoln, Montana where there is a grand opening of “Annie's Makerspace”. Saturday hours are 10-5 pm, and Sunday from noon to 5 pm.

You can find "Annie's Makerspace" just 2 ½ miles west of Lincoln, a new makerspace building to enjoy visual and clay arts, art lessons, w**e, paint classes, bad art night, storytelling night, potlucks and activities that allow collaboration, creativity and communication. Celebrating this grand opening, four artists will show and demonstrate their work: porcelain artist Lisa Ernst, mixed-media artist Annie Allen, and jewelry artists Sally Bogaert and Jason Allen. In downtown Lincoln, the marvelous 406 MT Mercantile featuring a variety of artists will be open on Saturday only.

Finally, the Tour includes the incredible Blackfoot Pathways Sculpture in the Wild Park in Lincoln, which just unveiled two new sculptures. Canadian sculptor Justin Tyler Tate’s gentle giant of a piece mimics the natural form of the plant life around it, in stark contrast to Missoula artist Jesse Blumenthal’s work just down the beaten forest path, a metal sculpture which reflects the sounds of the surrounding forest . In Seeley Lake, Obsession Pottery is the studio of ceramic artist Carrie Darrah where she will be hand building pumpkins, throwing bowls and demonstrating techniques of underglazing, images and texture. Sherry George, a new artist, will join Carrie showing how to create her suncatchers. You'll enjoy the best view of Seeley Lake at The Lodges of Seeley Lake where Angela Bennett is showing her outstanding collection of watercolor 'icons' at the main lodge, titled “Elegance of the Image”. Signs will guide you to both studios located off Highway 83.

In downtown Seeley Lake, multiple artists are on display at the Grizzly Claw Trading Co. where expert wood carver Will Katz will be showing and demonstrating his remarkable work on Saturday from noon to 3 pm. Across the street at the Alpine Artisans' Gallery at Seeley Station, you can grab lunch and join Jean Pocha, who will be demonstrating Nature Journaling on Saturday only. Noticing the world we're in with curiosity is all that is needed to create a record of the moment using words, numbers, sketches and/or watercolor painting through Nature Journaling. In addition to demonstrations there will be small homemade watercolor art kits for sale.

Don't miss the 25th Tour of the Arts weekend, October 10-11, Saturday 10-5 pm & Sunday noon to 5 pm. This free, self-guided tour stretches from Condon through Seeley Lake to Lincoln, Montana. The tour features 10 studios and galleries and over 25 artists showing and demonstrating their work. The tour map is available on www.alpineartisans.org/tour-of-the-arts.

Coming from the north, the tour begins at the Swan Valley Historical Museum in Condon. Here you'll enjoy the work of three artists, Sharon Lamar, Patti Robinson Grant and a new artist, Darby Gleason showing jewelry, mixed media, large and small driftwood sculpture, watercolor and ceramics. This is Gleason's first year with the Tour featuring her ceramics, and it will be Patti Robinson Grant's last year. Grant will be offering a large inventory of her artwork and supplies for sale during the Tour.

Directly west from the Museum off Glacier Creek Road, Swan Valley Copper's Jeri and Roger Watson recreate the ancient technique of copper enameling as they fire their bowls at 1800 degrees Fahrenheit! A few miles south, turn west on Guest Ranch Road, you'll find outstanding photography at John Mercer's Swan Valley Images studio. John is featuring over 200 Canvas Giclees and framed images, including themes displays of the Crown of the Continent and the Swan Valley.

Tamaracks in color! Early holiday shopping! Enjoy many of western Montana's most amazing artist studios during the 25th Alpine Artisans' annual Tour of the Arts weekend, October 10-11. Saturday hours are 10-5 pm, and Sunday from noon to 5 pm. This free, self-guided tour stretches from Condon through Seeley Lake to Lincoln, Montana. The tour features 10 studios and galleries and over 25 artists showing and demonstrating their work.

The work of artists on the tour includes jewelry, sculpture, copper bowls, photography, watercolor, acrylic, mixed media, ceramics and the internationally famous Blackfoot Pathways Sculpture in the Wild Park. The tour map is available on www.alpineartisans.org, and at the Grizzly Claw Trading Co. in Seeley Lake. Road signs direct you from the main roads.

Much Ado About Nothing, Monday, August 24
For the 16th year, Alpine Artisans' 2 Valleys Stage is presenting Montana Shakespeare in the Parks (MSIP) free performance at the Double Arrow grounds. MSIP will be performing Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing on Monday, August 24 at 6 pm. This year brings something new – there will be a 'pre-show' beginning at 4:45 pm featuring a oboe and percussion duo from the Bozeman Symphony Orchestra. Bring a chair, come early, and enjoy the entire show!

The sixth Norman Maclean Literary Festival is holding events in 2026, the year of the 50th anniversary of the publication of Maclean's celebrated novel, A River Runs Through It.
On August 15-16, 2026, the festival will host a weekend of events titled “Come for the River, Stay for the Stories,” celebrating the history of conservation in the Blackfoot Valley.

Don't miss the Loon and Fish Festival this weekend - Friday, July 17-Sunday, July 19. Loon and Fish Festival T-shirts were a tradition for years, and the t-shirts return this year, available in two colors and multiple sizes. Local handmade ceramic loon and fish magnets are also available for sale.

This festival is the best time to grab your 2 Valleys Stage season tickets, which are available for a 20% discount! On Saturday, huckleberry ice cream is sold to benefit the Youth Grant and Scholarship Fund.

Handmade ceramic bowls by Carrie Darrah, Obsession Pottery and helpers will be available to be purchased with the ice cream, which has been donated by the Filling Station, Lindey's Prime Steak House, Seeley Station and the Hungry Bear Grill.

LIVE MUSIC: Saturday's music lineup outdoors ranges from blues to bluegrass, rock to folk. The music begins at 11 am with Cliff Clark and continues with Sera Benton at 11:45, Raised by Wolves at 12:30, Jon Kimble at 1:15, Pete and Rachel Feigley at 2 pm and The Montana Project at 2:45. The audio quality is great, thanks to the work of KC/DC. Chairs and canopies provided.
