Saturday hours are 10-5 pm, and Sunday from noon to 4 pm. This free, self-guided tour stretches from Condon through Seeley Lake to Ovando and Lincoln, Montana. The tour features 11 studios and galleries and over 25 artists showing and demonstrating their work.
The work of artists on the tour includes jewelry, sculpture, copper bowls, photography, watercolor, acrylic, mixed media, chain saw carving, and ceramics. The tour map is available on www.alpineartisans.org, and at the Grizzly Claw Trading Co. in Seeley Lake. Road signs direct you from the main roads.

Here is a TOA description in three parts: Part One. Tour of the Arts in the Swan Valley

Coming from the north in Condon, Montana on Highway 83, the tour begins at the Swan Valley Historical Museum in Condon. Here you'll enjoy the work of three artists, Sharon Lamar, Littlebird Kinzfogl and Patti Robinson Grant showing jewelry, mixed media, large and small driftwood sculpture, fabric birds and watercolor. Directly west from the Museum off Glacier Creek Road, Swan Valley Copper's Jeri and Roger Watson recreate the ancient technique of copper enameling as they fire their bowls at 1800 degrees Fahrenheit! A few miles south, turn west on Guest Ranch Road, you'll find outstanding photography at John Mercer's Swan Valley Images studio, with breathtaking views of the mountains. Guest artist Colleen Harrington will be showing her artwork at the Swan Valley Images Studio.
