This is one of my favorite events of the year, Honkfest West! Tonight, tomorrow on Sunday. Tonight's in Georgetown, tomorrow in Columbia City and Sunday scheduled for Pratt Park (though I heard it might move due to rain, so check the schedule.) This event is magic, no kidding. To our utter and complete despair, Big Top Curiosity Shop is closing. Seattle is a little less weird now. Well, their sad loss may be your happy gain this weekend at their last big sale. Link to more info in the comments.

Calling all weirdos (and lovers of weird), supreme weird expert Harriet Baskas is giving a lecture tonight about all the weird things in local museums. Since the Official Bad Art Museum of Art is temporarily closed, we have to get our weird fix at other venues now. Here's your chance to hear about some weird museums around the state, including the Spokane museum that holds Bing Crosby’s toupées and a museum in Lynden that’s home to a 150-year-old pickle. Other favorite weird museums of my own include Archie McPhee's Rubber Chicken Museum and Danny Eskanazi's Big Shoe Museum at the Market. Links in the comments.
