Join us for our 2026 Annual Gala & Auction: Going, Going, Gone to Pots at the prestigious Umstead Hotel & Spa in Cary, NC, on Sunday November 8th, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM!

We will enjoy a delightful, light reception with tasty treats (accompanied by w**e and b**r) from the Umstead Hotel & Spa. There will be a Silent Auction featuring some wonderful works of clay, as well as decadent desserts and coffee, and a Live Auction featuring some amazing pieces of collectible contemporary ceramic pots and exceptional experiences.

This year there will be multiple attendee experiences!

⭐HISTORY w/ Hunter Randolph! Hunter may be a younger collector, but he loves historical and contemporary NC pottery, and his age belies an impressive knowledge of NC pottery history. Chat with Hunter and learn more about NC’s clay stories. A lovely piece of historic art pottery will be in the SILENT AUCTION.

⭐HANDS-ON - Become a part of NC’s Clay Story! You’ll have the opportunity to get one of your hands in some glaze and leave your handprint on a couple of bisqueware pieces. Those pieces will be fired after the gala, but SOLD during the LIVE AUCTION. Leave your mark on NC’s Clay Story and show your support for the Center.

⭐SCULPTURAL DEMO by Ryan Obsorne! Watch and talk to Ryan as he sculpts a piece. His work explores material, memory, and form. Working intuitively, he creates sculptures that balance tension, playfulness, and abstraction while drawing on animal and human references. He has a piece in the LIVE AUCTION.

⭐There will be a mystery mugs instant-win raffle too.

Hope to see y'all there!
