Since 2013, volunteers at the Scottsville Museum have given their time and talents to host a local fall tradition, TWILIGHT TOURS. This event takes months of planning, 30+ volunteers, and a shared goal of raising funds to support two local non-profit organizations: SCAN and the Scottsville Museum.
This year was also the first time our solar lights, tikkis, and nighttime setup were stolen from Dorrier Park, on Thursday after rehearsal and again on Friday after our first performances (a collective value of $250 after replacing the items taken). Whoever took our Twilight Tour supplies, am I hugely disappointed in your actions, but even more upset that you stole from two volunteer organizations that give to our community, and you took time away from the volunteers.
For those of you reading this who haven’t been on a Twilight Tour, we have one more performance today at Victory Hall at 3pm. Please join us, and if you took solar and torch lights from Dorrier Park please return them to Victory Hall this week.
