The Board of Directors of the Jackson County Sports Hall of Fame is pleased to announce the Class of 2026. The class includes Roy Patrick Berkemeier, Loyd Ellison, Dr. Robert H. (Jody) Gamble, Kevin Hicks, Kenny Hill, Robin Kirkland, Jim Thomas, and Ken Wilson. The contributor inductee will be Stan Schmoller. The Class of 2026 induction banquet will be held Saturday, January 9, 2027 at the Goosepond Civic Center.

The Jackson County Sports Hall of Fame is saddened to learn of the passing of Class of 2019 inductee Charles Cobb. His son Vincent was inducted with the Class of 2017. They were the first father-son inductees. We offer our thoughts and prayers to the family. Funeral services will be Sunday at Valley Funeral Home of Stevenson.

Our female recipient is Campbell Barron from Pisgah High School. Our male recipient is John Stewart from Scottsboro High School. Congratulations to both and best wishes for your future academic and athletic endeavors.

What a great gift this morning from a special friend. The book came out yesterday and Mr. Clemens dropped by the station a few minutes ago to present me with one. Can’t wait to read it. They are available on Amazon. Mr. Clemens is Class of 2014 inductee of the Hall of Fame.
