Historic Schaefferstown, Inc. A non-profit educational organization dedicated to the culture and unique history of Schaefferstown. Brendle Museum, and the Gemberling-Rex House.

The Pennsylvania German and Swiss cultures which flourished here during the last few centuries are authentically presented among several historic sites – the Alexander Schaeffer House and Farm, the Thomas R. Throughout the year, our sites host cultural events designed to educate in experiential, memorable ways. Our directors and volunteers work to restore, preserve and maintain our historic properties and museum collections.

History Lives Here... Check out this photo provided by our Museum Staff for this week. Check out the E & L Trolley which had a route through Schaefferstown between 1914 and 1931. More information about the Trolley can be found at the Brendle Museum.

Tomorrow is the last day to visit the Brendle Museum until
April of 2027. It will be open this Tuesday, September 29 from 1PM - 4PM.

Also a huge thank you to Jedd and Dede Erdman for donating a “Stohler” ax. We would also like to thank Jedd for volunteering your time running our food stand the last few years. Our Food Stand! These photos say a lot- we are so lucky to have so many amazing individuals who make our fair unique. Thank you to all our volunteers, artisans, musicians, demonstrators, presenters, and visitors for coming to this year's Harvest Fair. It was a beautiful day on Saturday, and even though the weather was less than ideal, many of you still came out to support us on Sunday. We hope you had a good time and will come back again. Congratulations to our Baking Contest Winners! First Place went to Kris Powers, Second Place to Adelle Lehman, and Third Place to Kath Bowman.
Kudos to Adelle! She is 13! We can't wait to see what she creates.
Thank you to all the bakers, participants, and taste testers! We will publish the recipes from all our bakers on our website. (Give us some time to recover from all the weekend activity.)

We don’t have an exact date but we know the Central Hotel was demolished in 1976, so we assume that it was after that.

THE FAIR IS STILL ON! 11:30 - 4!
PUT ON YOUR BOOTS, BRING YOUR UMBRELLA, AND WE'VE got lunch covered for you!
Admission is FREE to members and anyone who has their program from yesterday.
All others BY DONATION!
We will have a covered area for you to eat. And will be serving up grass fed beef cheeseburgers, hamburgers, hot dogs and french fries. We will have a covered area for you to enjoy.
OR you can come and get take-out;
A pack of 5 thawed grass-fed beef burgers for $20
Pot pie by the Quart plus 3 sides of pepper cabbage and 3 fresh rolls for $7.
