Heartlands Railroad Museum The Heartlands Railroad Museum has a growing indoor and outdoor railroad historical museum complex at Carona, KS; just 18 miles Southwest of Pittsburg, Kansas. Visit our website for directions and details at heartlandsrailroadmuseum.org.

Visit our website at heartlandsrailroadmuseum.org for additional information and a schedule when our museum buildings are open. The outdoor exhibits may be visited anytime during daylight hours. There is a walking tour guide available on our website. Please do not climb on any of the equipment and stay back from the railroad track should a train come through during your visit.

Our latest acquisition is on-site! We now have Frisco caboose #1110 set up on a display track on the museum grounds. What is special about this caboose? It was originally built by the Northeast Oklahoma Railroad as caboose #53 and this caboose passed what became our museum complex many times back when the NEO mainline ran east and west just north of our museum complex. Come and check us out sometime soon.
