Think you know Savannah’s history? Put your knowledge to the test at A B.S. in History: Historical Fact or Hysterical Fiction at the Davenport House Museum!

On Thursday, October 22 at 7:30 PM, comedian J. Steinbrunner will host an interactive evening where three local comedians share stories about artifacts from the Davenport House Museum. The catch? Only one story is actually true!

Audience members will vote, test their instincts and decide who’s telling the truth as fact and fiction collide for a night of laughs, surprises and a little questionable history.

A little bit of history, a lot of intention ✨

We had such a wonderful time at our latest Artisan Spotlight featuring Kelley Boyd of Ordinary Magic Savannah!

Participants gathered in the Preservation Center to learn the art and intention behind crafting their very own manifestation jars. From natural elements to sealed intentions, everyone took home a truly unique creation.

What a fantastic Mid-Autumn Festival celebration! 🏮✨ We had the absolute best time hosting our latest Family Day at the Davenport House Museum.

A huge thank you to the 萨凡纳华人协会 Savannah Chinese Association for partnering with us to bring this vibrant celebration to life! Guests of all ages got hands-on with traditional Chinese arts—from trying out tai chi and dance to practicing calligraphy and paper cutting. And, of course, no festival is complete without delicious treats like egg rolls, dumplings, and traditional mooncakes! 🥮

We were also honored to host the ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new photo exhibition, "Charming Savannah: Seen Through Chinese Eyes." 📸 This incredible gallery features work by local Chinese photographers and is still on display—stop by the museum anytime during operating hours to view it for free!

Finally, this event was made possible through the generous investment by the City of Savannah Department of Cultural Resources. We’re so grateful for their investment, which allows us to offer rich, high-quality community programming free of charge.
