Today we painted with pediatric patients at Memorial Health Dwaine & Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital of Savannah as part of Savannah Children’s Museum’s Carts with HeART program.

Carts with HeART is one aspect of CHS All In, Coastal Heritage Society’s initiative that expands access to our museums and educational programs for those who might not otherwise have the opportunity to participate.

CHS All In expands our ability to reach underserved audiences at no cost to them through:

• Free admission to our museums for families receiving EBT/SNAP/WIC benefits and Live Oak Public Library cardholders*

• Free field trips for Title I schools

• Free community outreach through our Mobile Museum, including programs like Carts with HeART

We are grateful for the opportunity to bring a little creativity and museum fun to children and families in the hospital today.

Learn how you can support CHS All In in our comments.

SAVE THE DATE for a fun day supporting hands-on education and outdoor learning in our community with our Frogwarts community partner: Wilderness Southeast (WiSE) 5th Annual Paddle Battle & Family Fun Day benefiting Fish Gotta Swim© on October 10th, 11AM–3PM @ Wilmington Island Marina.

The day will include 5K and 10K kayak and paddleboard races, a 1-mile fun race, kids’ games, a Lowcountry boil, live music, a raffle and fun for the whole family.

Like Savannah Children’s Museum, WiSE helps connect local students with meaningful hands-on learning experiences through field trips and educational programs.

Through its flagship Fish Gotta Swim© environmental education program, WiSE brings hands-on environmental science experiences to Savannah students and connects them with the wonders of the natural world. In 2025, Fish Gotta Swim© brought hands-on environmental science experiences to 1,385 Title I school students.

At Coastal Heritage Society, we share that commitment to making educational experiences accessible to all students. Through CHS All In, our initiative to expand access to our museums and educational programs, we provide free field trips for Title I schools and other opportunities that help underserved audiences learn, explore and connect at no cost to them.

We are proud to celebrate organizations like WiSE that are helping make hands-on learning accessible throughout our community.
