We will be closing at 12:30PM today (June 26).

BUT! We will be OPEN (9AM - 5PM) with free admission tomorrow (June 27) during Savannah Riverfest! Please use our back entrance as entry through our front main entrance will not be accessible.

While Savannah's Main Street will be closed to vehicle traffic, we will be OPEN (9AM - 5PM) with free admission all day.

Last week Pickwick Southside School’s 2nd and 3rd graders visited Tennessee River Museum and learned about the history of the Tennessee River Valley. A few days later, we received sweet thank you cards and letters.

We are excited to be featured as part of Tennessee State Museum's virtual road trip through the 95 counties in Tennessee!

Mark your calendars for June 29 through July 31, 2026 as we welcome Tennessee State Museum's traveling exhibit "Our American Story: Voices from Tennessee."

We're headed to Hardin County! 🚗✨ Come along as we travel along the "Tennessee Voices, American Stories 95 Counties Road Trip" online interactive map.

Shiloh National Military Park preserves and interprets the history of this pivotal Civil War battlefield, known for its high casualty rates and decisive outcome. Meanwhile, in Savannah, the Tennessee River Museum is located in the city’s old post office building, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The museum’s exhibitions cover thousands of years of natural and local history.
