"I must always have a vision in mind before I begin working. Once I mix the resin I have about 20-30 minutes to make my design before the resin starts to cure. I work as quickly as I can and let my pieces sit to fully cure. Sometimes after it’s dry, I might have to make some changes or do another layer and let it dry again. When I am satisfied with my design, I let the piece sit until dry, then I do my clean up and get it ready to go. So basically, the resin lets me know I’m done, if I am not finished in time." - Tracey Richburn

Introducing Gallery 209's newest artist...Joshua Hill! Learn about his unique artistic style, which he calls FOLK IMPRESSIONISM by discovering his paintings at Gallery 209.

"After 25 years as a faux painter and muralist, I have collected an excess of leftover
house paints from former projects. I use 'leftover' house paints to create FOLK IMPRESSIONISM, which incorporates the drag technique by only using palette knives. I’m trying to capture light and color ‘in the moment’ as Monet did, and the emotion is inspired by the subject as Van Gogh did."

"There is so much history in Savannah. When asked I always suggest taking one of the trolley tours. By doing this they will be able to choose those wonderful places they wish to return to on their own. I also suggest, depending on their physical ability, they take the walking tour."
