Have you met .Giles.Art yet? You've probably seen her work - with paintings featured all over town, booths at the and others, murals, live wedding paintings, a feature in , and even on a water tower! In addition to being a fantastic artist, she's also one of the nicest people you could ever meet.

What makes Anna Giles' work so great is its versatility. Because her canvases are gallery-wrapped with painted edges, her pieces don't necessarily need to be framed for a casual setting. But when you want to elevate them for a more formal space? They frame up so effortlessly you'd think it was the only way to go.

Here is just one example of how that works. The unframed piece looks great as-is, perfect for a beach house, den, or casual living area. But when we add a thin floater frame around the outside? Boom - instant formal dining room status. 🖼️💫

What's behind the curtain? A fitting tribute to a Savannah pioneer.

Judge Eugene H. Gadsden was the first African American admitted to the Savannah Bar Association and Chamber of Commerce in 1956. After providing invaluable legal services and guidance during the Civil Rights era, he broke another color barrier in 1979 when he was appointed to the Chatham County Superior Court, serving until 1992.

For years, the county and legal community sought a way to memorialize Judge Gadsden that truly reflected his historic impact. When plans were set for a new downtown courthouse on West Oglethorpe Avenue, the decision was clear: naming it the Judge Eugene H. Gadsden Courthouse was the answer.

The Judge wasn't the only one waiting on this project! We first began discussions with the County in October 2025 on how to best present his portrait. Through test samples, site visits, resizing, and scheduling challenges, the Judge waited patiently. We brought it together using a combination of two frames paired with Optium Museum Acrylic.

Earlier this week, the finished piece was officially installed and unveiled. Special thanks to our friends at Savannah Glass, Badger Rental Services, and Stagefront - with their help, we were able to safely reach the necessary height, drill into the tile wall, securely install the portrait, and rig the drapes for the big reveal! 🖼️✨

It’s always an honor to be trusted with a project of this scale. Sometimes 124 years of experience just can’t be beat.

Cats are fine, too, but we'll be honest...we get waaaaaaay more dog pieces than cat pieces. Just saying.

Over the years, we've periodically gotten the question: "Can you guys put a frame on a TV?" It seems like it's become a much more common question over the last decade or so, ever since released their "Frame" TV. Must be a total coincidence, right? 😉

With these displays being used to showcase high-quality art and photography, there's a growing interior design trend to treat the television itself as a piece of fine art. Samsung does offer some of their own frame add-ons, but they're pretty minimalistic and only available in a few colors. By contrast, we have thousands of style options to choose from! Because modern TVs are so thin, we can find ways to make almost any custom frame profile work for your display.

Of course, custom engineering always comes with its own set of challenges. Swipe through the pictures to see the roadblock we ran into on these projects, and the behind-the-scenes adjustment we had to make to get a perfect fit. Just... please don't tell John what we had to do to his frame to make it happen... 🛠️🤫

Takashi Murakami () is one of the most influential contemporary artists in the world, famous for bridging the gap between "high art" and pop culture. His signature "Superflat" style blends traditional 2D Japanese aesthetics with anime, manga, and vibrant consumer culture. You’ve probably seen his work before without knowing it - from album covers and animated music videos to high-fashion collaborations and high-end galleries.

One of his most iconic motifs is the smiling flower, a 12-petaled bloom with expressive, joyful faces. While the meaning behind them is surprisingly deep, they evolved into his spherical "Flower Ball" series. While museum originals can span 8 feet across (a little big for most collectors), the vast majority of prints are typically 28" in diameter.

Why 28"? It actually ties back to an interior design "golden rule." When framed, a 28" piece measures roughly 2/3 the width of standard furniture like consoles, credenzas, or loveseats, creating a balanced visual scale when hung above them. It also works the same way for height.

For this piece, we floated the circular print inside a custom ordered round frame. Because the artwork is already a lot of vibrant color, we selected a crisp, clean white finish to keep the focus entirely on the art while channeling a calm, Zen-inspired aesthetic.

Even the best-laid plans sometimes go to waste. We originally planned on sharing this post ahead of back in July, but we've had so many interesting projects flying through the shop that it got a little lost in the shuffle! 🍨

So instead, we're sharing it today as a celebration because we just survived the first week of school for Chatham, Effingham, and Bryan county schools. Go ahead and treat yourself to that extra scoop right now - both you and the kids definitely earned it after getting back into the morning routine! 🚌

We used this sleek, perfectly colored frame for this perfect scoop of ice cream, and now we're considering officially launching a petition to get to rename this "buttered popcorn" finish to "butter pecan" in time for next summer. What do you think?
