Three members of our Board of Trustees attended the prestigious George Catlett Marshall Memorial Award Reception and Dinner during the Association of the United States Army's (AUSA) 2026 Annual Meeting.

The evening recognized Frank Siller, Chairman and CEO of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, for his outstanding commitment to serving our nation's military members, veterans, and their families.

Events like these bring together military leaders and supporters who share our commitment to honoring service, preserving military history, and supporting those who have served.

The Friends of the NYS Military Museum and Saratoga County Chamber’s Veterans Business Council invite veterans, military members, and community supporters for an evening of networking, refreshments, and history!

The Veterans Business Council of the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce is joining forces with the Friends of the New York State Military Museum to host a special networking event at the New York State Military Museum, bringing together veterans, business leaders and community members for an evening of connection and conversation.

The Mixer at the Museum is scheduled for 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15 at the New York State Military Museum, located at 61 Lake Ave. in Saratoga Springs and is open to all who support the military and veterans.

Admission is free for Veterans and Active-Duty Military personnel and pay what you wish for others with a $10 suggested donation to support the mission of the Veterans Business Council to foster business connections, career opportunities, and scholarship programs within the local veteran community. Proceeds from the event’s cash bar will benefit the Friends of the NYS Military Museum, an organization that helps to support the care, preservation and interpretation of the Military History Collection of the State of New York.

The event offers a unique opportunity to explore world-class military memorabilia while connecting with fellow veterans, active military members, and supporters. This mixer provides a great chance to network in a meaningful setting surrounded by New York State's military heritage.

Attendees will see the new, permanent exhibit dedicated to the servicemen and women from New York who served and sacrificed during the Global War on Terrorism, as well as the museum's other military exhibits, while enjoying refreshments and connecting with like-minded individuals who share a commitment to supporting the veterans and military community.

A special evening at the New York State Military Museum.

We recently welcomed donors and select members of the community for a private view of our newest Global War on Terrorism exhibit. It was an opportunity to come together, experience the exhibit firsthand, and recognize the people whose generosity and support helped bring it to life.

Most importantly, the evening centered on preserving the stories, service, and sacrifice of the men and women who served during the Global War on Terrorism.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and continues to support this important work.

On October 3, the New York State Military Museum will host the MOWW & MOAA Youth Leadership Seminar, a one-day, hands-on experience for select JROTC cadets.

Programs like this are important because they give young people the chance to strengthen leadership, communication, teamwork, and civic understanding in a setting that challenges them to grow beyond the classroom. The seminar is designed to help cadets build the skills and confidence needed to become informed citizens and future leaders.
