The Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation 's 'Celestial Soiree' was a fantastic success, and I am proud to have supported the event with my oil painting "THE PEACOCK - SPREADING VIBRANT COLORS OF CHANGE AND RENEWAL" as a cancer survivor who understands the importance of the cause.

Meet the Artist: Margit Karpe

Born in Strasburg, Germany, Margit Karpe has called Sarasota home since 2023. Her love for painting began at age 14 under the mentorship of renowned painter Siegfried Rehfeld. Over the years, Margit has showcased her work in multiple exhibitions across Germany, and now shares her artwork at exhibitions in Sarasota, Florida.

Margit’s journey hasn’t been without challenges. In 2018, she was diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer. Determined to continue sharing her passion for art, she held a scheduled exhibition in Strasburg just weeks after her diagnosis – finding strength and healing through her artwork. Today, Margit continues to inspire others with both her story and work.
