This weekend, young explorers were hard at work at the CRR Discovery Museum!

From navigating imaginative adventures through tunnels and climbing structures, to exploring cause and effect through hands on exhibits, to strengthening early math and problem solving skills through interactive technology, every corner of the museum was filled with curiosity, confidence, and joyful learning.

Research tells us that play is one of the most powerful ways children learn. Through climbing, exploring, pretending, experimenting, and solving problems, children are building critical thinking skills, language development, social emotional growth, coordination, creativity, and resilience.

The smiles, questions, discoveries, and “look what I can do!” moments are exactly what childhood should be about. ❤️

Whether your child loves science, technology, construction, imaginative play, art, movement, or simply exploring something new, there is always an adventure waiting at the CRR Discovery Museum.

Get ready for a summer filled with creativity, exploration, discovery, engineering, nature, cooking, and hands-on fun at the CRR Discovery Museum!

From slime labs and robotics to gardening, cooking, and outdoor discovery adventures, each camp is designed to spark imagination, curiosity, and connection. 🌱🧪🦋🤖

✨ Camps run from 10 AM to 1 PM
🎁 Ages 5-12
🍎 Snack provided daily by the Museum
👧🧒 Small group experience with ONLY 20 spaces available per camp

There is something sacred about preserving wonder. 🦋

Some of these incredible creatures date back to the 1950s and 60s, carrying decades of history, curiosity, and quiet beauty. Rather than letting them fade, two of our talented Discovery Museum Navigators stepped in with intention and care.

They thoughtfully rehomed each piece into custom shadow box tables, creating a space where these specimens are protected, preserved, and honored.

Now, instead of being out of reach, they are right at eye level…
waiting to be discovered!

Children can lean in, slow down, and explore every detail using magnifying glasses, seeing textures, patterns, and intricacies they might otherwise miss. It is hands-on learning at its finest. Quiet, curious, and deeply engaging.

This is what we believe in.
Creating spaces where the past is respected, curiosity is sparked, and learning feels like wonder.
