These pieces are excellent in showcasing Robert's ability to tell a rich story with several small details. Have a look! This piece is titled "All Good Things Come in Good Time" and it is 24 x 12.

Little known fact...our gallery director is also an artist and has been showing in Santa Fe, Colorado and AZ for the past few years! Specializing in contemporary expressive landscapes and cloudscapes, Sara's work is created through active brushstrokes that come together to create a larger sense of depth and movement. We're excited to be displaying her work here at 822 through December!

Take a break at work or kick back at home for a few minutes and listen to Josh Tobey answer all those questions you've always wanted to ask! Josh is in Jackson Hole as the first featured sculptor for the Fall Arts Festival, congratulations Josh!

KHOL's Brielle Schaeffer interviewed Colorado-based sculptor Joshua Tobey about his process, inspiration and being the first featured sculptor in the Fall Arts Festival's 30 year history.

We've been patiently waiting to see Josh's new life size horse cast with patina and WOW! Noble Spirit is a beautiful piece! Congratulations Josh!

Noble Spirit is finished. 7 hours later, dead horse flies all over the place (I have no idea where they came from but kept biting us to death) and I have a singed section of my hair from the blow torch when we were frying those darn deer flies! Josh looks over at me and asks what that smell is and I am patting my face to feel if I still have eyebrows! Hilarious. I do have a section on my hairline that is missing ;)

Most artists have a body of work separate from what you see at the galleries. We are lucky enough to have been able to show watercolor artist Peter Krusko's Automatic Drawing series at our show last weekend and sold this piece to a avid collector. Here Peter talks about the motivation behind these otherworldly drawings:

"Automatic drawing to the reader is probably associated with the 20th century surrealists; notably Andre Masson, Joan Miro, Salvador Dali, Jean Arp, and their spiritual leader Andre Breton. All used the technique to mine the rich underworld of the human psychic.
In automatic drawing the hand is allowed to move randomly across the paper, applying chance and accident to mark-making free of rational control. Traces of representational forms appear, allowing the conscious mind to take over the process; producing illusions that author an ‘inner landscape’ of the drawing’s creator."

See more of Peter's drawings at www.gallery822.com!

Who remembers the little rabbit bronze called Spooner? Well here he is in a much larger size, now available in Pre-cast! I'm not sure if it would scare the bunnies from your garden, but it would sure look good there!
