Meet the Artists of Hold Your Horses!

Barbara Meikle has been creating art since childhood, when she first began sketching horses. After earning her degree in art from the University of Denver, she returned to Santa Fe, New Mexico, in 1990 to pursue her passion for painting. Her vibrant work celebrates horses in motion, whimsical donkeys, and the ever-changing beauty of the Western landscape. Barbara's love for animals extends beyond her artwork, as she supports local equine rescues and hosts events featuring live animals at Barbara Meikle Fine Art in San Fe. Barbara Meikle Fine Art
